FUFU&GAGA changing table dressers put a diaper-changing station on top and full-size nursery drawers underneath, so one piece of baby furniture handles diaper changes now and clothes storage for years after. This focused range has nine dresser-style changing tables, 32.9 to 39 inches tall. To pick the right one, check the changing height for whoever does most diaper changes, the changing top (rails or a removable topper), and the storage layout you need.
What You'll Find in This Changing Table Collection
Every changing table dresser here is made from solid and manufactured wood (MDF) and comes with a tip-over restraint kit. Eight of the nine are white or white with gray or wood accents; a white changing table dresser suits most nursery color schemes. One is black. Layouts differ:
- Drawer chests with 3 to 6 drawers, such as the 45.1" white/gray changing table dresser with 6 drawers.
- Drawers plus open shelves for diapers, baby towels and baskets, like the 47.2" white nursery storage dresser changing table with 5 drawers and open side shelves.
- Drawers plus cabinets that hide bulk packs and toys, such as the 46.3" black changing table with 3 drawers and 2 cabinets.
Every one keeps working as a regular dresser for clothes and toys once the diaper years are over.
How to Choose a Changing Table Dresser
Height: protect your back
Changing your baby on a surface that is too low makes you hunch, and that strain adds up over several diaper changes a day. Quick check: with elbows bent to 90 degrees, the changing pad should sit a little below your forearms. Taller parents usually prefer the 37- to 39-inch models; shorter parents often find the 33- to 36-inch models more comfortable. Our changing table height guide walks through the measurements.
Width and depth: fit the nursery
| Spec | Range in this collection | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Height | 32.9–39" | Changing height; median about 36" |
| Width | Most 44.9–47.2" | Room for a changing pad plus a caddy |
| Depth | About 18–19.7" | Typical dresser depth |
| Drawers | 3–6 | Some add open shelves or cabinets |
| Colors | White, white/gray, white/wood, black | Eight of nine are white-based |
For a small nursery, the 35.4" white 3-drawer changing table is the most compact option in the range.
Changing top: rails, toppers and changing pad fit
Six models list a removable changing table topper, so the top becomes a regular dresser surface when your child is out of diapers. Raised rails frame the pad and help keep it in place; where a rail height is given, it is 2.8 to 3.1 inches. Whichever changing table you choose, use a changing pad that fits snugly inside the rails or topper with no gaps, and secure it as the instructions describe.
Safety features to look for
- Anti-tip kit on all 9 models. Anchor the dresser to the wall before the first diaper change. The CPSC recommends anchoring dressers and other top-heavy furniture, and our guide on how to anchor furniture to the wall covers hardware and wall types.
- Listed certifications vary by model: five list Product Stability UL Verified, four list CPSIA compliance, and three list ASTM F2057-19, the stability standard for clothing storage units.
- Drawer safety stops on five models keep drawers from pulling all the way out.
The CPSC's mandatory standard for baby changing products (16 CFR part 1235, based on ASTM F2388) describes changing tables as designed for children up to 30 lb. Follow the warning label limits, and see our changing table safety guide for straps, supervision and pad fit.
Changing Table Dresser vs. Standalone Changing Table
A standalone changing table with open shelves is lighter and simpler, but it is usually retired once diaper changing ends. A changing table dresser offers more storage space and closed drawers, which makes it easier to keep a nursery tidy, and it stays useful in a child's room for years. See our full changing table vs. dresser comparison, or browse dressers and chests if you only need drawers. Once it's set up, our changing table organization guide shows what goes in each drawer to save time.
Assembly, Delivery and Support
All models require assembly with a screwdriver (a few also need a hammer), and most suggest two people. Orders ship free to the 48 contiguous US states and DC, and most in-stock orders leave our US warehouses within 48 hours. You also get 35-day returns on unused, unassembled items, an exclusive 2-year limited warranty and replacement parts support.
Changing Table FAQs
What is a changing table dresser?
A changing table dresser is a nursery dresser with a changing area on top, usually a raised-rail tray or removable changing topper that holds a contoured changing pad. You change your baby on top and get plenty of storage for clothes, diapers, wipes and towels in the drawers below. When your child is out of diapers, you remove the topper (on models that have one) and keep using it as a regular dresser. Combining two pieces saves floor space, and a white or wood design blends with most nursery decor.
At what age do you stop using a changing table?
Stop when your child reaches the age or weight limit on the product's warning label. The CPSC describes changing tables as designed for children up to 30 lb, and KidsHealth notes the typical limit is around age 2 or 30 pounds. Many parents move to floor changes sooner, once a baby starts climbing or twisting hard. After that, a changing table dresser simply stays in the room as clothes storage.
How tall should a changing table dresser be?
The changing pad should sit at or slightly below your bent elbows, so you can change diapers without hunching. Models in this collection measure 32.9 to 39 inches tall overall, with a median of about 36 inches. Taller caregivers usually prefer the 37- to 39-inch models, while shorter caregivers may be more comfortable at 33 to 36 inches. See our changing table height guide for the elbow test and rail heights.
Do I need to anchor a changing table dresser to the wall?
Yes. Every changing table dresser here includes a tip-over restraint kit, and it should be installed before you lay your baby on the changing top, ideally into a wall stud. Open drawers and a climbing toddler shift weight forward, which is when unanchored dressers tip. The CPSC recommends anchoring dressers to the wall. Our step-by-step guide on anchoring furniture to the wall explains hardware for drywall, studs and masonry.
Is the changing topper removable?
On six of the nine models, the specs list a removable changing table topper, so you can take it off once diaper changes end and use the full top as a dresser surface. Look for "Removable Changing Table Topper: Yes" in the spec information on each product page. Models without that spec are better thought of as permanent changing stations with storage, which still work as a dresser but keep the changing area on top.
Which changing tables list safety certifications?
Certifications are listed per model, so check the product specs. In this collection, five models list Product Stability UL Verified, four list Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) compliance, and three list ASTM F2057-19, the stability standard for clothing storage units. Other safety features: all nine include a tip-over restraint kit, and five have drawer safety stops. Read our changing table safety guide for how to use them safely.
How hard is it to assemble a changing table dresser?
All models require assembly. A screwdriver is needed, a few models also need a hammer, and most listings suggest two people. Where a listing says to avoid power tools, assemble by hand so you don't strip the manufactured wood. Lay out the panels and hardware first, install the anti-tip kit as the last step so the dresser is ready before your baby arrives, and contact us if a part is missing: replacement part requests are reviewed within 24 hours.
How long does delivery take, and can I return a changing table?
Shipping is free to the 48 contiguous US states and DC (not Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or PO boxes). Most in-stock orders dispatch within 48 hours from US warehouses, and typical delivery takes 7 to 9 days to your front door. Unused, unassembled items in original packaging can be returned within 35 days, and furniture bought at fufugaga.com is covered by an exclusive 2-year limited warranty.
