Went together smoothly and fits perfect for the space we have. I purchased a 6” foldable mattress for it. I still have room in the cabinet to add additional bedding so the pillows and comforter can go in the bottom drawer.

First I want to mention this is a heavy package, a dolly isn’t required but may prevent a sore back! Once complete this is a well built and and not overly difficult to assemble. The assembly instructions aren’t as clear in some areas as desired, mostly where a shown and opposite part is required. I upgraded to a 6 inch thick mattress (memory foam) now it’s comfortable and easy to operate.

I would recommend having 2 people to put together. Took 8+ hours as one person. I was able to use a 8 inch trifold mattress with this and guests says it's super comfortable.

When we were looking for a spare bed for our guest room we decided to go with a Murphy style bed. We shopped around at furniture stores and these type beds were thousands of dollars. Not wanting to spend that on a bed that may be used only a few times a year. The assembly is not difficult, the instructions are not great but with some basic construction knowledge it’s doable. The bed got its first use this week my niece said the bed was extremely comfortable ( we have a 4 inch folding mattress and a 2 inch topper) .

I love the look and now I have a place for my extra family/friends to stay when they come over. It looks like a beautiful piece of furniture and has a secret function !
